    Buying a WWII Iron Cross

Hi everyone! This is my first post to this forum, and I really appreciate the opportunity to do so.

I am looking to buy my first WWII Iron Cross (EK2), and I would like to get advice from you. I am looking for an original (authentic) Iron Cross and would like to avoid getting a replica or reproduction.

If anyone of you has one for sale, or can give me links or contacts to buy one I would really appreciate your help. I saw many on Ebay, but I'm afraid to get a replica and be scammed.

What are the tips and tricks to verify it is an authentic Iron Cross and how much should I pay (estimate)?

Thanks a lot for your help and I look forward to reading your comments.

    Have a great weekend!

    Ssubo,
    First, welcome to the forum!

I would watch the E-stand - there are EK2s many days a week for sale there and we self-police it. If it is on e-stand it is good. I would also look at the reputable dealers, but they will be more expensive. Finally, EDUCATE yourself by reading through all of the posts on here, look at pics on the fakes gallery. Hang around and a lot will rub off!

Prices range and differ, but anwhere from AROUND $75 for a nice worn one to $100 for a more mint one to $120 for an unissued one. These are just my thoughts.

    Welcome!
