    L/11 Ek1?

What would cause, what would appear to be a small hump under the date 1939?

I only have a scanner, so I don't know if the hump will show on the scans.

      Bend ?

      John,
Do you mean as if it's bent under the date? from the pic's it looks like it has been bent/folded, maybe in construction, the centre's are sometimes very thin, almost tin like, on EK1's while the EK11 is fairly thick in comparision.
Is it definitly an L/11, not L11 without the / stamp?

      Regards
      Andy

It is an L/11, here is a picture of the reverse.

          Hi John,
I had an L/11 EK1 awhile ago that had the late war pessed tin centre to it. It is very thin and if yours has the pressed tin centre, it may have been bent while it was being assembled or damaged in the pressing process. If your EK1 feels a lot lighter than a standard EK1, then you have the pressed centre version, and usually the swastika has more rounded edges on these than the sharp edges found on the solid iron centres.
