DKiG - fake or real?

55 views and no opinions? Well, I will start in. I think this is as fake as a three dollar bill. The pin, hinge, and maker mark do not correspond to original four rivet deschlers. There are some later cupal deschlers with a catch like that. The rivets look close, but not good enough. The details of the date are difficult to blow up, but there does not appear to be a blunting of the apex of the "4" and the "9" is too oval. There is contact of the swaz with the wreath. the "patina" on the reverse is about as fake as it gets. Anybody see anything else?

Thanks Yuri-
Another collector on another forum brought up a fact that I had not noticed. The cross is sitting in the case, yet the date is turned 90 degrees clockwise relative to its proper orientation, assuming a vertical 6 oclock to 12 oclock orientation of the pin ! These fakers are good for a laugh every once in a while.

Is it really positioned incorrectly in reference to the pin??
Jim- I do not know for sure. This was identified by another collector on the *** forum. I was focused on the cross and had not noticed the orientation of the date relative to the case. However, it does appear, given the cross is resting in the case, that the pin is oriented improperly. That, among other things, does not bode well for this piece.
