Souval set - repaint the core??

I have this Souval set. Would you repaint the core? Could remove rust down to metal and apply new paint.

Or, would you leave well alone?

Leave it alone. There is a graveyard of restored and consequently reduced value awards out there. I wouldn't add one more.
