Opinions on this EK1 & Eastmedal Medal Bar?

    Hi there,

Sorry for the horrible airbrushed picture but I didn't have a chance to take a picture while I was at a dealers so I had to come up with an approximation "borrowed" from tyanacek - thanks mate!

I was asked $300 Aussie (about 190 Euro) for a ek2 unmarked and a Eastmedal '93' mm in the following configuration. The actual ribbons on offer are showing wear.

Is this a fair price? If not how much should I ask for it?

    Hi,

Assuming the EK2 is standard and not a Schinkel/Round 3, I'd suggest Aus$225 +-$25 would be closer to a realistic value. But then again, do dealers ask realistic prices?

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

I purchased one indirectly from the e-stand AND had a KVK2 w/swords for about $225. Unless it is MINT and you HAVE to have it, I think you could wait...

One medalbar like this went for £91.00 (Crisp English Pounds) on Detlevs last update - check his site out, it will still be illustrated.

WWII EK2 & RF Mounted Set

I think the price is pretty high for what you are getting. Last week I bought a similar set in better condition from Helmut Weitze for 135 euros.

You will be better off being patient and waiting for a set of medals like these offered at a more realistic price.

thanks for all your input, you might all still think I got ripped off but I eventually talked him down to AUS$250 or EUR150, thanks for all your input and preventing me from part-trading my IAB!

people can think your getting ripped but if that is what its going for at the current time then thats what its going for. a good example is like ebay sometimes you can pick up a ek for 50 bucks less the some 1 may sell it for and sometimes just the same or even more if you get a bidding war
