            How can you tell?

            Dave,
From a novice perspective the quality doesn't seem to be there but what other characteristics identifies the cross as post war?

JG, spend some time with the many S&L threads...you won't be a novice very long!

Regarding the subject cross yes, quality enters along with the placement of the stamp, flat frame and crooked, misplaced core.
              Regards,
              Dave

                Dave,

Cheers, I'll read the S&L die flaw flaw thread, should only take about 4 hours to get through it

                  4 hours....heck that's only the beginning

Seriously though...they are tedious to get through but there's wonderful information on each page.

Eric...out of curiosity what is the 'stamp' and is the cross magnetic?
                      Regards,
                      Dave

Hey guys - Somewhere in these threads this cross has been discussed before. Notice the outside frame between 6 & 3 o'clock the area that is not cut correctly. Isn't this Babcock's POS?
