Was there a safety pin in the RK box?

Dear Sirs.

I was just thinking.....

In Gordon Williamson's book it is explained, that the RK came with around 72 cm of ribbon. The RK was then fastened arund the recipient's neck with a safety pin.
Was there a safety pin in the box or did they come "on the side"??

That's a good question Jules!

I've never seen a safety pin in an RK case.

However, I do have a couple of EK11 in packets with safety pins attached to the ribbon.

Same here and the Blood Order was actually issued with a black painted safety pin !!!



I also have a couple of late war KVK's with packet and tissue paper, they to include a saftey pin attached ?!
