99TH GJR German Cross

Gentlemen,

Back from a short 'adventure' and decided I would post my first purchase. Optained from the family of Hauptman Martin Hormann, 4./GJR 99 (umlaut over 'o') in Germany recently. Untouched since 1945, Hauptmann Hormann received the German Cross in March 1945. Yes, that is a stone mint '20' attached to the pocket which came with the tunic. Also, I am sure you will all note the SHTDS applied to the sleeve below the Edelweis and not above as dictated by regulations.

Thank you. I do not have any official information regarding any further awards. However, also attached to the tunic was a silver CCC, EK1, and Gold wound badge.

Thank you. I do not have any further information regarding Hpt Hormann other then what I was able to collect from the book 'Die Ritterkreuztrager der Deutschen Wehrmacht 1939-1945. Teil VI: Die Gebirgstruppe Bd. 2 L-Z'.
The back section of the book has a complete listing of all the GJ German Cross in Gold recipients:

What I simply meant to say was that I removed the CCC from the tunic for the picture hence the 'past tense'.
