              In general EK2 that were privite purchase items came in a fitted box, when I say fitted I mean fitted lines for where the cross was positioned in the box, this box does not appear to have them.

              Mind you this could be different with Imperial awards, I am speaking about 1939 EK2 and would assume that it would be the same.

              You may want to post this in the imperial section for a better responce, however expect to get a idea from the chaps in this forum.

                hard to say with that photographe. But cross looks good to me.
                Box I never have seen so for an EK2. It was always fitted in the cross shape.

                  the cross is for sure good - like the others said!
                  but the case - i would say, that someone put it in an ordinary juwellery case to get more money (its really common nowadays to do this)
