DKiG????

Here is DKiG that belongs to a local colleting friend that has had it for a while and has been trying to figure it out. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

It looks like a put together piece of a corroded zimmerman wreath, a S&L catch, a re-applied swaz, and a reproduction DKiG with brilliants pin. This is not consistent with any of the wartime crosses.

Hello Dave,
Tell your friend that it's not a good one. Rath only made the super high quality German Cross with diamonds. The details and quality of this one is so poor that I would say there is no doubt about it.

if i have learned something about these DKiG's then your example it is fake IMO). It looks to me like someone was working hard to make a copy based on S&L, but it was not good enough they decided to mark this DKiG with RATH MUNCHEN mark (which was exclusive maker of DKiG with diamonds). In other words, this cross is not for my collection...

Look at the 1941

It has that dotted effect of tapping that is well knowen with fake DKIGs.
