    Knight's crosses

    Hello everyone!

I'm a new member. I've always had an interest in the german military awards. 1813-1957 periods. I've spent hours online trying to find an answer, so I'm hoping someone here can help. Does anyone know if it was authorized to wear both the knight's cross of the iron cross and the knight's cross of the war merit cross at the same time?

    Hi,

I don't know about German regualtions, but most countries do allow simultanous wear of two neck orders.

Here's a picture of Otto Stapf and link to his Wikipedia page.
In teh picture you se Otto Stapf wearing both the RK KVK and the RK.

    Best regards,
    Daniel

And then you have the many photos of Erwin Rommel wearing his Blue Max along with his RK.

That's very true. We often see PlM recipients wearing both the PlM and the RK if they had both.

There was neither an official rule to wear the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross as a sole neck order (or the Grand Cross for that matter), nor was there such a rule for the Knights Cross of the War Merit Cross. The more, the better (see below):
