    RK ribbon question....

Maerz says "most" ribbons are 45mm and 25/30/23/24 white stitches. Is there any possibility of a 40mm ribbon with 22 white stitches? before I throw this in the trash?
    Passes all other tests.

    Yes. I've seen 40mm with 22 ,18 and 15 white stitch count.

I rechecked my two 40mm ribbons and one is 22 white stitch count which came with a sedlatzek KC and the other one that I have after carefully rechecking is a 17 white stitch count and not 18 as I stated above. In the magazine "international militaria collector" in the March 2017 edition fellow fourm member " Leroy "wrote a excellent article on knights cross ribbons.in it he shows a 40mm ribbon with 22 white stitch count that was attached to a K&Q Knights cross brought back by a veteran. He also shows a 40mm ribbon with a17 white stitch count that was with a sedlatzek KC. hope this helps you.
