Goring Grand Cross Loop (Extra large)

I saw this picture in another thread on the forum and what stood out most to me was the loop for Goring's Grand Cross. I had never seen, or at least noticed, the size of his GC loop before.

This was discussed some time ago here (peripheral to other discussions), but I can't remember the thread (may have been involving Bill Stump). Goring had at least one loop that was a solid piece, made to look as if it was a regular "bent" loop.
