    The youngest iron cross winner ever

    but I dont think so, I guess this young boy is selling this cross for something to eat or so, maybe this award belongs to his father, maybe he found it somewhere.

            It's a Getty Images photo from December 1945 with the caption "A young orphan tries to sell his father's Iron Cross for the price of a few cigarettes".

            I would think it's a Meybauer also.

              Wonderful and sad

              I have had this photo in my files. I look at it from time to time it used to be my screen saver.My Uncle was on occupation duty after the war 1947 what you could get for cigarettes or proper soap!!! He confided in me he took advantage, I think it followed him for life really.
