For my own educational purpose, since I know nothing about crosses, what is the white looking stuff between the ribs on the cross. I have one with it too, and was curious.

For my own educational purpose, since I know nothing about crosses, what is the white looking stuff between the ribs on the cross. I have one with it too, and was curious.

It’s a finishing paint we call frosting although I’m not sure what it’s actually made from. Some makers frosting lasted much better than others and 100 W&L and 13 Brehmer crosses seem to be some of the best in terms of lasting.

Thanks for the info, I have suspected it was a finishing product of some kind, just wasn’t sure what it was.
