      Hi Matt
Yes it is different from what medals they usually find .I though I show it . I have seen a few KC they have found but not many and the same for the German cross . Cliff

Wow! Very unusual to find a dug DK

The alignment circles on the starburst elements are really interesting- not seen that before

              cross

Hi Andy I have seen a small circle like that on ST&L . I don't know if it is that or look at the location of the circle it might have been to locate and hold it for the the drill wholes . The long arm and the catch are like a Deschler and the pin layout .Cliff

as a detectorist I can say this one is definitely not a ground dug one.

That was my first thought as well. Genuine Cross but fire damaged not buried.

every metal except of silver and gold (from the basic one that most of the things are made of) somehow reacts in ground. Especially, if it was ground dug 75 years (weather, soil, area that is affected by acid rains). This cross does not show any true ground dug effects on it unless it was ground dug very short time.
