Need a little ID HELP. Got the Maerz book and now am confused on this. Thought it was an S&L BUT the book says S&L did not drill the frame for the loop. Mine is drilled on the back (see 1st picture with my fingers in it. You can see the light where the metal lifted at the top where it was drilled.) PLUS it has the ring marker on the frame back for loop placement.
It has no LUG.
The book says it would be a Karl Hensler but the frame of the one shown looks different.
Some people on FB Iron Cross page say it is Eugen Schmidhaussler, but one person posted his and I do not see the drilling or the ring guide.
