Knights Cross with OL & Swords

Hey guys,

what do you think about this knights cross with oeakleaves and swords?

The weight of the OL+SW is about 8,8 - 9,0gramms, size 25,45 x 27,1mm (wxh).

I would say that the cross is an early Juncker with zink core.
Check if it is magnetic.

Heck of an item for your first post, welcome! Item shows promise but, very detailed images are needed of each. RK appears to be an early unmarked neusilber frame, zinc core Juncker. OLS, second pattern Godet 900 21. Please post better close up images.

Agreed. A good close up of the OLS face on front and back. The same with the RK. So used to just seeing fakes when such a topic title appears.

If you want a serious valuation you should really ask better pictures
or study the oaks in hand. Items in that price range demand more caution.

I've no intention of being rude, but that suggestion doesn't ring out quite well IMHO, unless the motive for collecting is purely financial.

Jelle is recommending that the oaks and swords be thoroughly examined in hand because it is worth it for the fakers to produce tremendous reproductions, and therefore a hands on examination for these ultra-high end items is a very good idea.

Robert, so do I . The point I was trying to make is that this kind of approach should be applied on all collectables, regardless of the actual value.

$20 000 US upwards is what I suggested. $10 000 at least for each level of RK, though the OLS is probably somewhat more. If they actually belong together to a particular awardee then the sky is the limit.

I did not say that I know everything? I said I "think"... But I know for two other sets was selling for about 38.500 USD. So thats why I asked how he mean it with 20.000 USD.

And I will not try to promote it. My main issue was getting feedback from experts here and I am really thankful to get help here.

Thank you for posting more images. Personally I would like to see larger straight on, close up, detailed shots of the OLS including top, side & bottom edge images if possible. I transferred your images to my PC to blow them up and do see details I like. Of course such an rare, high end award deserves close study.
The early Juncker RK appears to be very nice showing light wear. Being a rare model the collecting community seems to hold more value in a magnetic core model ???
