    Pitted core EK2. Good, bad, or just ugly?

    Like I say the core is pitted to heck, albeit very evenly.
    Never seen the like in my very limited experience.
    This is a submission from the Reddit militariacollecting thread and I just have to pass this on to you guys as I'm stumped. Halp?

          Orig. silver frame cross marked 24 with replaced ribbon core in bad cond.Not to get off subject but do have a name of the oss officer that Doc. is killer.

            Original 24 as stated above.
            It looks to me like it was used as a keyring or fob of some kind due to the heavy wear on the frame.

              Or ground dug and restored requiring heavy cleaning of the frame????? Just wondering.

                IMO very nice one made by maker 24. Either stored in bad condition or ground dug until 2000 as items after this year started to deteriorate faster.
