    Odd (to me) EKI 65 maker mark

    I have not. Do you have a photo looking straight on and the same of the front please. Not sure if the pin is K&Q either, but others will be able to tell you.

        Looks like an earlier Meybauer pin, which are pretty distinctive and as far as I know unique to Meybauer.

        I believe that type of 65 mark has been shown on here before. I do not recall the outcome of those discussions.

        To me, an unusual combination of pin and marking. I'll be interested in the explanation!

          This is certainly a Meybauer cross, IMO. The entire hardware and even the patina to the backplate of the cross look like typical Meybauer. IMO, the ‘65’ mark is pure bogus, not even a chance of being authentic. It’s a downright shame that this cross was ruined like this.

                that 65 mark is a very old post war one- it is occasionally found on period badges by several makers- I believe it most likely dates to the time when marked stuff was considered more desirable and as such commanded more money- 1960's approx
