    Strange Mark on EKII...Opinions please

    Hi to all,
I would appreciate any opinions on this EKII (no mm) which arrived today. The cross is in really nice condition with very crisp detailing.
On closer examination, however, I noticed that the small line below the swastika, which I had originally taken to be veining, is in fact some form of gouge. It seems to be a flaw in the core rather than post-paint damage.
Soany opinions or explanations would be most welcome.
    Cheers...

no problems at all. looks like a genuine deumer ek2 to me.
the "mark" seems to be nothing more than rust under the paint.

Or a temporary die flaw. I would keep that one, as it´s a bit odd whit that line in the core. Deumer it is

ps that line is not rust Imo

I see no problem with this cross. Mistakes have been made during the manufacturing process. Actually it makes this cross more attractive IMO.

              Thanx for the replies guys,
I had been trawling the 'crosses' forum all day for comparison, & everything about this EK just screamed "Deumer" ( hump, dates, swaz, frame etc. ), but I could'nt find a match for the flaw. I assumed that rust was not the culprit, as the flaw is a very clean & smooth recess in the core...Could this mark have been caused by some form of undetected foreign body coming between the die & the core, during stamping ?
I have really come to like this coss over the last 12 hours of looking through a magnifying glass & I am glad to hear that the flaw is not a red flag.
              Cheers...
