    $200 Ek2???

OK, so I was on Ebay - it was a slow day at work. But OVER $200 for an EK2!?!? Am I missing something?

Well definitely a rare breed ... after all it says:

    1. Proper two pieces soldered onto a steel center.
    2. The ribbon ring is stamped 27 for maker Schenkl.

Whats the chances of finding a Steel Centered, maker marked "Schenkl" EK2?

What's the big deal? A packeted K&Q with ribbon went for that on the e-stand not long ago. Wasn't in bad shape, but wasn't mint either.

I didn't buy that one either...and there is no packet here. No biggie - just noting that it is high...

                  Maybe....

the bidders think its a schinkel-form...

No doubt that this one is fine ... but the description indicates that the seller knows very little about EK2s.

I would think anything over $100-120 is quite high for a type in this condition myself

I noted the price of that one aswell... If you really want one I suppose you'll pay what you have even if there are plenty about.

I would think that anyone that's had an EK for more than 3-5 years ... this is the case as well

Without defending the price USD 200.00 for an EK2, but it seems most collectors are out after cheap items instead of original ones.
In a world full of ****ing fakes, originals will get more and more expensive.
The day a seller doesn´t get his items sold, the prices will stop rising.
