This Forum is a place for sharing information on the Crosses of the Wehrmacht. Real information consists of facts, not of opinions. Opinions are welcome here, of course, but they must be presented as such. Unsubstantiated "facts," however do not serve this Forum and this hobby well, and henceforth they will not be tolerated in this venue. Therefore, if you make any statement that is a declaration of fact, you will be accountable for that declaration and you must be prepared to support it with some kind of factual information or evidence. (Or, to put in more succinctly, "Put up or shut up.")
In order to enforce this new policy, from now on any posts deemed to be presenting opinions as facts without any supporting factual evidence will be edited by the Moderators to indicate that they are only the poster's opinion and are not actual fact.
This is not a draconian rule and in fact it is very easy to adhere to. Posters are of course free to think and believe anything they like. And they are free (and encouraged) to express their thoughts and beliefs here. For example, to say "I think that EK is a fake" is okay because the poster is truthfully saying what he thinks. But to say "That EK is a fake" is a declaration of fact and must be supported by some kind of factual evidence. It's simple, really. Just remember the key phrases "In my opinion," "I think," and "I believe." Use them, and you are perfectly free to post practically anything that you like.
If you have a question about this policy, please PM me and I will address it. Questions and answers that serve to clarify this policy and are of interest to all will be posted in this thread for the edification of all participants of this Forum.
Thank you. Now, let's sort out some facts!
