Packet and EK2 I picked up recently

Just looking for any info about this. This is the first EK2 with a Packet that I have ever purchased.
I think the packet is Authentic but not 100% sure. The EK2 is maker marked 27. Thanks!

Oh ok thanks! I bought them both and some other things from a guy that purchased them from an estate sale, the previous owner was a long time collector dating back to the 60's. The guy I got them from did not know if the packet went with the Iron Cross or not but included it in the deal.
Thanks for the info, I really had no clue it was a WB Packet. Would there be a certain WB that would have gone with the packet? Thanks!

I can't see that August Menze & Sohn, Wien did WB's at all.

In my list they manufactured Blechzeug

So the packet goes with something else or a fake?

From what I have found the maker mark of 27 on the EK2 is Anton Schenkl.
But I know nothing about packets.

the cross is perfectly fine from the quite common maker Anton Schenkl.

The bag is from August Menze & Sohn. This firm did not produce any ek's and from what I know no wb's either.

                The bag looks good.

Thanks! I guess I will have to do some research on the bag, curious now as to what would go with it.

No worries. Guy I purchased it from did have a Black WB so it might be original to the packet. Will have to see if he still has it. Thanks for the info!
