EK2 Case

I bought this case some time back on the e-stand.It was in a right state (yep,worse then it is now!) so I had it repaired.A couple of questions.Is it original?(its marked L/15 and while Otto Schickle made EK1's I wasn't aware they made EK2's).And can the interior flocking be cleaned up in any way?.I don't mean pristine but getting the worse of the dirt off would be good.Any opinions welcomed,

Paul, nothing wrong with your case.

You can often find KVK 2nd class in this type of case too.

I honestly wouldn't bother cleaning it, you know how funny we can all get if we see something 'tamperd with'

Gasp, shock, horror !! No try not to 'restore' boxes and packets the odd bit of paper glue for certain tears or peeling paper etc, but cleaning etc can do more harm than good. At the end of the day it's yours do fit as you see.


This as Allan says is correct for the EK 2, but I'd contend Allan on the KVK 2 , wrong colour box that I'm aware of or ever seen. The marroon or the brown Ldo boxes are for the KVK 2nd class. Also with this exact example shown above the inside portion is very different to any KVK inner I've seen, just take a look at this pic below of mine.

That looks like a straight EK2 box to me, and like other EK2 boxes I have seen. I do not know all the known EK2 makers, but isn't possible that Schickle made unmarked EK2's?
