LDO case ?????

Hi there here is an LDO case.
I think it may be for an EK 1 .could you have a look for me ,I am not sold on it personally.

It's a late war EK1 case, does the base come out (to reveal embossed digits) and what about UV? From what I can see it looks ok.

Is the lid on a spring-retention hinge? I don't see a regular depression opening device, so I'm wondering how this case's lid is held closed.

It's just a simple box with a slightly larger lid hinged by a 'leatherette' (embossed paper) tab. It is secured by friction.
