    LDO box for ID

Hello gents, would like your help to identify this LDO box please... the contents were a Kuban Shield, wondered whether it was original to the shield or is it for something else ?

The carton looks period, I like the material.

It may be a generic carton, used for any award that would fit it.

    I like it.

The box is interesting, but LDO marking is bogus, and it is certainly not a case for a Krim Shield

          Hi Tom,

Thanks for your opinions on the box, can you explain why the LDO marking is bogus? Just so I have a reason why and for me to learn if that is proved to be bogus... thanks

            I agree with Tom.

There are plenty of old carton boxes from pre 1945. But the LDO is added later to try to give the box some value.

The “L” looks to be leaning backwards. It is also a different font compared to the LDO mark seen on packets and cases. This was not one stamp, but three separate ones.

The Kuban is just married with it because it fits.

            Regards, Thomas

Carton might look period, but it's definitely not an LDO box. All LDO boxes are described by types in special LDO package unification order issued 01.03.41. This one is not mentioned.
              Also, LDO logo is unusual.

Agree, the stamp does not look convincing.
Most likely an upgraded carton box.

Don't think the LDO was printed, loo9ks more like a stamp.
