Gab Paper bag - Gewerdt ?

    Hello to all guys,

I recently bought this paper bag for SturmAbzeichen from a reputable militaria dealer.
Looking in my hand this package it don't like me altogether... seems to be a modern printed (I see the purple shadow in the letters as in the modern prints) and touching the paper seems bigger than usual envelope for badges..
The only things that it doen't not shine with Wood light...

So is a moderm fake or only a feature of this maker?

I also did not find any feedback with this name on the WAF. Maybe I did the wrong translation? Is Gewerdt?

    What you think?
    Thanks in advance to all

    Hi Nicola,

I'm not to sure about this packet.

I do not like the print font.

I think the paper has been 'roughed' up to give it an aged appearance.

I would not have it in my collection sorry.

          Hi Nicola,

I agree with Allan and Thomas. The packet is definitely a modern fake. I don't like the font either. It looks like it was made yesterday and then deliberately wrinkled up in attempt to make it look old. Also, there is no such maker, although there was an A.D. Schwerdt (note the spelling) based in Stuttgart. Also, there is no such address as Splittlerstraße 36 in Stuttgart. The correct name for the street is Spittlerstraße (no letter l before the i).

          Best regards,
          Tom

            Hi again Nicola,

I have never seen this exact fake before, but there must be more of them around as I doubt the faker would make just one. Perhaps this is a brand new fake packet and others just like it will be hitting the market soon.

            Best regards,
            Tom

                Who cares about the font?

Fonts can be changed and matched with original.
there are however other much bigger problems with this bag.
anyone with basic printing knowledge will notice what I notice.
i don't want to educate the forgers but the printing method used was not available during ww2.
