It looks like a 1957 version by S&L.

I thought that most period Knights Cross cases the interior corners are rounded and not square.

I am no expert when it comes to original cases but this one looks like a 57'er.

I fear someone might have bought a 1957 style case for 1855 Euro.
However, the 1957 cases don't show the stud ring round the push button.
Also the pattern on top and bottom looks slightly different than 1957 types.
Still, I would need to have in hand to be 100% sure .... and then still.

KC case

Looks like an original pre may 1945. Look at the Maerz book. It matches up with the late war style he shows. Here is an original case, looks the same as the one shown in this thread.
