    Hi,

    Nice assortment you have

Unfortunately I have to inform you that the first packet "Sonderabzeichen für das niederkämpfen...etc" and the blue EK2 spange packet are fakes.

    Regards, Thomas

Thomas and Allan are right, both not original.

Unfortunately I agree with the above about the fake packets.

However, on the plus side, thanks for sharing the Deutsche Verdienstmedaille which isn't shown very often.

            Thank you for your feedback.

Regarding the blue EK2 Spange envelope. What makes it fake? Is it the light blue color or some factor? Would somebody please elaborate?

              Hi DWG,

First of all: those 2 are in real very rare, so always pay extra attention.

The easiest way for a first check to me is always: look at the sharpness of the used character font.
The designation of these two packets is razor sharp!
It shouts inkjet printer all over.
The designation on real packages is much more soft, more sloppy compared with modern print work.

When offered a package: check the backside for the medal producers brand and check the database or older threads here if it matches the real thing.
When in doubt: ask here before buying or make sure you can return the item.
I had myself similar bargains in the early days of Ebay.

Nice bags to keep for reference.
Compare it with the good ones next to in and you will see the differences.

Nevertheless: thanks for showing the display!
              Nice collection!

              Martin
