      This is a difficult one for me, I know the paper packet for the EK1 appears in at least one publication on the Iron Cross, and in previous discussions it's been referred to as being a late war substitution for the case for the EK1.

      Having said that I can't recall ever seeing any photographic evidence of a EK1 being awarded, sold in a packet as opposed to the standard case.

      Has anyone ever seen a packeted EK1 for sale on a dealers, collectors site?

      Personally I don't have one in my collection, and to be honest I haven't any reason to add one, for me the jury is out on the EK1 packet.

              Hi Fabricio,

              The one you post is the one published in the book it is lying on. So Dietrich and Georg gave/give you the thumps up.

              It could be that they are late war, but I'm with Allan and don't need one in my collection. But that is a personal choice. Never had one in hand, which could also help me to reach a final jugdement.

                  A packet for the EK1 also appears on page 149 of Gordon Williamsons 'The Iron Cross of 1939'.
