Ritterkreuz case: original, postwar or fake?

    Hello guys,
how about this RK case? It contained a Ritterkreuz that was stolen in a collector's home along with other medals. The thieves took only the medals and left the boxes. It should be original but I would like to know your opinions.
    Thanks in advance
    Val

Why wouldn't they take the cases?

Because the thieves are probably "zingari" ( gypsies ) and they stole only what glitters like gold. Not silver because in their culture brings bad luck. They have no idea of the value of collectible decorations. I also have had them visiting my home. In that occasion, in addition to the gold objects they stole a modern Purple Hearth leaving the wwII case. This is a great problem in Italy.

            Thanks

Hello, IMO its a honest and original 1957 issue KC ( fitted for either 57er St&L but most likely Schickle KC )
