    LDO Blue Case for appraisal

    This case came to me years ago containing a silver class Spanish Cross with swords. The cross has now been deemed to be a fake with an outside chance of being by an unknown maker. So I am wondering if the case might have any chance at possibly being an original period one. It was suggested that it could be a "lattice" fake, but I would like your opinions, please.

    There is a lined border impressed in the covering around the outside perimeter. The lower fitted piece is firmly secured and cannot be removed and I prefer to not force it.

        This looks like the lattice postwar case with lots of abuse to age it.
