I agree Tom , a good original case for B.H.Mayer . I have a cased B.H.Mayer spange for 1914 EK1 too .

it's a nice case, in good conditions.
They come always more rare this kind of cases....I am looking for a 1st type but it is nearly impossibile to find it for sale !!

Hello

My first visit on the Case forum and I find this thread very interesting. I knew there were different case variations with EK 1 spange designs and LDO marked lids but not that you could actually associate a case lid design to a specific spange manufacturer.

In the case described here as a B. H. Mayer case I got a L/11 (Deumer) EK1 spange about 40 years ago and, more recently, a E. Schmidthäußler spange in another case with a different lid inprint. I now know the Deumer isnt in its proper case but any idea as to what a Deumer case would look like or which maker the other case lid design is associated to?
