    1. Pattern LDO case kvk ?

Hi, need some opinion on this case. Looks good to me so far. Seem that there was a KVK in it, looking on the lid. Saddly the inlet is gone... could it be a black one ?

    Thank`s for help and regards
    Jürgen

            Hallo Jurgen,

I was just looking through the threads and found you'd been missed!

However, this case in my opinion does not conform to any of the LDO first series or transitional examples.

            Kind regards,

            Marcus

With the exception of the ''square'' cornered example in this thread, the other cases are all first series and first pattern LDO cases.

              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...early+LDO+case

The example portrayed in this linked thread is what I deem of the ''transitional'' variety before the second series was incorporated and aspects to the the initial series were changed and additions to the second series, also.

The LDO logo represented on your example does look very convincing (I can't fault it), and the catch although of the ''apex'' form, I wouldn't necessarily condemn it on that aspect alone.

What I personally don't like is the glossy outer covering - although the pattern is convincing if not almost reminiscent of originals. Also, the lid liner and hinge covering just don't bode overly well to my mind...?

I don't feel this period, no, it has that older ''Coburg fake'' presence about it, and this is not a case I recognise, at all.

Lets see if anyone else can shed any light on it.

              Kind regards,

              Marcus

Some remedial questions: are the hinge and push button magnetic? Does the interior lining glow under a black light?

The shiny appearance of the outer covering could just be a flash photogrpahy.
