ek2 packet with Luftwaffe unit stamp

    ek2 packet with Luftwaffe unit stamp

    Hello my fellow collectors.
    Here is a packet I just picked up with a unit stamp for Kampfgeschwader 51 on the reverse. It has the recipients name to the front and the medal maker is Moritz
    Hausch, Pforzheim.
    Was it common practice forLuftwaffe to mark award packets?
    Or was it done in the early war years only?
    Or was it uncommon for this to be done?

      Hi John,

      I never saw this before on a packet! The packet is 100% good, but don't know if this is the same for the stamp. I'm not saying the stamp is fake, but it could be. Could also be that the stamp is good, but added after the war.
