    EK1 Case for L/13 (Meybauer) - opinions

These are some pics of the case for my L/13 EK1. The EK1 is a good one and the I feel the case is a period case but not sure if correct for a Meybauer EK1. Could I get your opinions? Thanks.

Hello Sammy! This is a good LDO case and a meybauer cross would be ok in it as long as marked L/13.
these square button cases as they are known are often found with BH Mayer crosses PKZ marked 26 and the case being a non LDO marked with cross on lid.

The fact of the matter is a LDO licensed store may have had several crosses out for display, the cases in a drawer. when a cross was bought, a case was grabbed from the drawer and the cross put in it! Mix matched from the very beginning!
          Happy collecting!

Thanks for the advise and opinion Kevin. The cross is marked L/13, but no markings referring to L/13 on the case.

Very few LDO cases were maker marked Sam, L/11, L/52, L/55 marks come to mind, Meybauer and Deumer also had their names imprinted on the inside lid silk in the lower left corners of non LDO cases.
There were others however these came to mind now. Marcus and Alan I am sure know of other marked examples.
Do some searches in this section of the forum to see examples!
