Just wondering, is it correct that those green pouches are not so often seen?

          Greetings

Do you mean rare, i would wait for Marcus or someone else to answer that. Think a couple of years ago a number of these turned up they were knocking about on dealers sites for a while.

I wouldn't say they were rare.

They do turn up every so often.

                    Hi,

I have the same one in green (same MM). Could be early, don't know about that. Think I also saw it with MM#100 on the packet. I would say non-green ones are more often encountered, but would not call a green one rare.

                    Regards, Thomas

Ok, because it was the first time i saw a green one.
                      Thanks for the reaction Thomas.

S&L also had the "green" colored packet, the example I have has the "4" stamped below the catch, barely visible, but it's there. The badge however is a zinc badge and have always thought this to be a later example. I think the packets used for any award would have been whatever was available at the time the order was placed for them, and maybe also these different firms bought from the same packet maker, which may indicate a certain manufacturer rather than a certain time frame. I don't think the packet type or color is a good way to judge when a piece was made IMO.
I too have seen W&L SWB's in this type of packet, but again with a zinc badge. Would agree with you Thomas, less often encountered, but not rare.

I have had green packet with maker mark for Wachter & Lange with Silver WB's with "100". And they were actually "greener" than this one in color.
