EK1 case --> WW2 or prewar?

Hi,

I am wondering if this EK1 case is possibly pre-1939? The color of the inside and overall design are more consistent with WW2 examples, but the construction seems prewar. By the way, it was sold with a 1914-series EK1 that was clearly not TR-manufactured.

It's a wartime TR case in my opinion, mate.

Yes, I suspected as much. I didn't get it, it was quite pricey. But thanks!

It's a little tatty anyway!!

What is interesting never the less is the outer covering application, you can clearly see via the exposed wood that the hinge in this instant was attached before the covering was applied.

And this one would evidently then have the serrated pronged type hinge, I think by the looks (?)

The base picture is a nice depiction in which the 621 recess can clearly be seen, also.

Geez, I used to be a soldier that liked beer and women - what has my life come to........serrated type hinges and paper coverage!!!
