Proper case for 1939 K&Q EK1? Opinions Requested.

    Hello case afficianados.

I have a cased 1939 EK1 marked "65" for Kelin & Quenzer. It is the first EK1 I ever bought, more than 10 years ago. Since then I've seen many cased K&Qs advertised as coming with "typical green K&Q domed case." Mine is not of this variety.

Is this the right match for this EK1? I appreciate all help.

    Thank you in advance. Trevor

I have seen Meybauers with this type of etui, even stamped on the lid liner Paul Meybauer. most 65's i have seen are with the domed case, But this means nothing as they could have been joined at any time?
I also have a unmarked early meybauer in this type of case and have reason to beleive they were matched wartime. But no proof....

I wouldn't say that the green case is typical for K&Q EK1.

It just seems that K&Q EK1 are found in green cases.

Search the forum for a cased and cartoned K&Q EK1, that would be as near a 'typical' case for a '65' that you'll get I would think.
