    EK-1 case good?

I found this EK1 case on the website....
I'm not an expert about those cases,
but can someone tell me if this is a war-time production or 1957?

I looked already on the forum and they are discussed already but without a clear answer...

I am with Alan! Will the base lift out for a photo?

Where have they been discussed before on the forum? Can you provide a link please.

Perhaps here could be other pic's available regarding such cases.

I'm under the impression via the pic's that perhaps the Winkler case is of the more standard size and that perhaps there's no relation to the other examples in the links.

However, that being said we'll kill two birds with one stone and look into the other examples, anyway. Already there seems to be two outer covering patterns so it's best to ascertain that we're talking about the same case/s as it were and see what we can conjure from there.

As I say, the Winkler case I don't think at the moment we can categorise as the above.

It might be an idea to request additional pictures of the catch ( from eye level perspective and the indeed the catch stem that goes into the lid of the case)

The base looks as if it has been taken out of the case lower half, so perhaps he'd be willing to extract it out so we can see in there as well. If not what is the material of the base i.e wood or cardboard.

And the dimensions: is it basically the same size as a 'standard' pattern EK case, or to any excess larger - as I say, I think it will perhaps conform to the 'standard' size.

I'm not under the assumption it's fake, it's just one I'm not familiar with at all. But if in any doubt, we can but ask........!
