    Mini box/case, original ??

Hi guys, could this be an original case for mini badges, got a few positive reactions on it but some more opinions would be welcome.

Mini's are usually found attached to a piece of card.

Possibley a private purchase piece that a retailer put in a fancy case?

Or maybe a really nice jewelry case from the period? I wouldn't think the tank badge stickpin would warrant such a nice case, but maybe some other higher award stickpins would...

ofcourse its not a fake, its intended for something else, they used more pins and hair needles and stuff like that before.

i think schonbeck's got it spot on, its certainly an old box, just not for military stickpins, but if you want to use it to keep one in...why not!! -nigel

Thanks guys, I think the stickpin is not originally with the box but comes with it.

A very nice period case, certainly for a piece of fine jewellry of sorts. I saw these from time to time when I lived in Germany, and I do have a couple of similar cardboard jewellry cases (boxes), albeit smaller and not as nice. I'd also certainly use that one for such a stickpin.
