    Honour Cross Packets

Hi, is it correct that a 1914 - 1918 Honour Cross combatants would come in packet "Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs fur Frontkampfer" and non-combatants "Ehrenkreuz fur Kriegsteilnehmer"? Thank you, Vaughan.

Hello Vaughan, most of them are encountered with a cello packet in various colours such as white/yellowish blue and red with no designation or makers mark. The packet that Leigh has posted I have never seen before.

        cheers
        René.

I've seen the non-combatant packets but they don't seem to have the 'des Weltkriegs' part in the title.
Your set is interesting that it has the tissue medal wrapper even with the wax paper type packet. Thank you for photos.

Off the top of my head i think it is marked Ferdinand Hoffstatter Bonn (spelling)
The medal is also marked for this maker.
