This is a fantasy piece which has been artificially aged in order to deceive. These cases have been around for a few years, and there is no record of any case for the Westwall in any of the reference books that I have.

This case was made in Germany in Coburg and is a fake they sell to this day on e bay.

I've one exactly the same, they're made very well but fake all the same.

There is some 'talk' of a case for the West Wall in one or maybe two books that I'm aware of and was is it Angolia that has a pic in one of his books......? I can't think tonight.

In my opinion it's likely a custom case of sorts in some shape or form was perhaps used in the bestowal to VIP's in the late 30's in very limited numbers and other than that at a later date was the LDO boxes and cartons (there is reference to WW's being able to be sold in retail establishments in a specific form of LDO box in an article pertaining to such anal Nazi order) and of course packets.

One day I'll tell you about a 'lead' I had on one of these cases........

I can only agree with Marcus, post war and artificial aged.
