    Fake outer carton W&L ???

    Good evening all,

For a moment I thought this was a nice chance to add a W&L carton and a nice, non matching S&L EK1 to my goodies, at a very reasonable price.

But a closer look to the carton: inside of the flaps looks very white, designation looks very, very thin.

Now I think I heard mr Allan Pilch say once there were at least 4 different cartons of W&L.
I only have one on file.
Is this a variant or a fake?
    (Gut-feeling says the last...)

    Best regards,
    Martin

I'd want to see more of this one, whilst the lettering of ''iron cross'' and ''class'' is exactly like that on certain fakes I'm not 101% sure about the rest of it....unitl further pic's could be provided to be sure.

The box is a fake, both lettering and material are wrong!

It is now due to further pic's, we've seen this one before if I recall and they use the main title lettering and then use others for the maker marks and 'Not to be opened........'

Interesting cut on the inner flaps, they don't all seem to feature the same traits.

                  I completely overlooked it...

                  There's a spelling-mistake in the factory name.

                  Metalwarenbfabrik...

Oh, of course, but it is a place where seldom (US) foreigners will enter I guess, it's typically Dutch and all the Dutch know you'll have to be very careful when doing business over there.

                      http://www.marktplaats.nl/

Type ' ijzeren kruis ' in the search box called ' ZOEK ' and about 30 EK's will pop up.

                      Enjoy!

                      Best regards,
                      Martin
