      Hi

Can I ask you where you purchased this from? Well here's a picture of another paper packet that came from a dealers site. Sorry for the black line but it has the dealers name under it and I want to buy this one but I need to save my money to get it. It totally sucks to be a student again. I notice that the letters are slighty different from the first one posted.

Hi Kenneth, it's a private sale from a collector in Spain.
What got me suspicious about mine is the paper, if you look at the paper on the one i have posted the colour is not uniform, it's patchy & that is exactly the same thing i once saw on a fake SS Postcard. Makes me wonder if it's some sort of treatment so it doesn't react to black light.
The one you show Kenneth has the shade of paper i would be far happier with.
        Ant.

Both look the same to me guys !!! No difference

I wonder if such were part of the mulitiple Deschler finds ?

I don't know, but thought I heard or read something about such medals.

Anyway, I can't find an exact match to fake lettering yet though !

            The plot thickens!
The difference i see in the paper could be due to the cameras, but i'm still not convinced by the actual paper stock, it's not like anything else i've yet encountered although i'm by no means an expert of TR paper!

              Hi

              HI Marcus,

I don't know if they are the same. The lettering looks different to me. Very close to one another but I don't think the same. Here's a pic of them side by side you be the judge.

                They're great Kenneth

Okay, what I think we essentially have here is a lack in the clarity of the lettering - oppossed that is to a different designation of a type.

This can be seen time and time again on all insundry of ink printed or stamped packets and indeed paper works too !

If you look closely at the bolder ink impression's on the lettering of yours Kenneth you can just see a distinct proportion difference between the other letters in your designation and this faint come bold trait throughout the lettering in most words.

Where the lettering is bolder it has also distorted the lettering to a degree - adversely less ink will subject scrawnier looking letters and give a visual appearance of more spaced lettering and again detail of the letters is lost as does when too much ink is displaced.

What I attempt to do is compare each individual letter, the arc's the curves the lines etc and in doing such accounting for the very ink impairments.

The K, the 'ch' and 'e' and the 'r' etc are of the same style, the spacing and certain gaps appear to my eyes to be present - I'd therefore suggest indeed these are the one in same designation.

I can see it, but I can't expalin it very well I'm afraid.

Sorry Ant, I can help you a lot this time, but let follow the general rule:
"if you are not completly sure, don´t buy".
There are some odd points in both, medals and paper. So....

                      Ant,

Is there a time criteria on the return ? If not send it to me with the other packet and I'll take a look and return it of course to you.

If you're not happy with it return certainly.
