    L/18 LDO package, dated

Some pics for all you interested and for the records.

Came with an EK2, which I think was an unlikely combination.
Package looks too smal for an EK2.
Still: a very nice package, what ever the contents may have been.
    Anyone suggestions about that?

    Best regards,
    Martin

Can you make out any lettering that preceeds the July '43 ???

These packets have been known to house EK 2's, whether or not it originally had one in it, I don't know.

Theres a wide range of scope to what exactly was sold in these as to this one, perhaps a black wound badge........???

I don't really know, but this kind of stamp or similar has been encountered on the black wound badge LDO marked little boxes.

Perhaps someone else can recall other examples too.

No, I can't deciphere what's preceding the Juli stamp.
Vaguely I thought I could see a 'J' so my first thought was a date mismatch, but that's a wild guess.

Black Wound Badge would be your guess?
          Yes, makes sense.
          Fits perfectly...

            Hi Martin,

I know EKII packets that are smaller than the Ldo packet you show...I also don't think that this one should go with a EKII and I'm with Marcus that A wouldbadge in black would go better with it.

            Groet,

            Thomas

ps. was the EKII at marked L/18?

              I was expecting that question...
It was not but to tell you the truth, I don't recall what it was.

I'll have a look tonight, I think it was a Präsidal number instead of an LDO number, but it wasn't a 26.
Come to think of it, it could have been my mm 100 which was in the package.

              Who cares they didn't match?
A new piece for the package collection and a new piece for the crosses collection.
I will find a match later...

My humble experience is that it is slightly cheaper to match award and package later instead of buying it as a matching set.

              Best regards,
              Martin
