    Original period badge case?

    I'm curious if this case is an original 1939-45 period case. Opinions welcome, please.

                      If honest Robert the fibre board type base and the wooden frame do not match any period cases by any stretch of the imagination I'm aware of.

                      The catch looks to be actually a broad stem apex type thus further contributing to a post war case.

                      There are other bits and bobs too, I'll get back to this later to expalin further - but if I don't pm me please.

                      I wouldn't consider this a period case, certainly not, no.
