    EKII 106mm Packet - Opinions ?

    Dear All,

Had this item for quite some time. Just thought I'd ask for some opinions. The front has faded badly. It is in very bad condition, the flap is extremly worn. I was just wondering as to the originality of this item. I believe I paid the princely sum of £1 for it 3-4 years ago. If anyone can help, either way, your opinions are very welcome.

Thanking you all again for your time,

    Many Thanks,

    Gareth

    Hi Gareth,

The packet you showed is 100% ok. It has a lettering you don't find every day on an EKII packet

    Cheers, Thomas

ps. 1 pound is a great price for this packet, even in this condition!

This designation is one that you encounter on the tan larger packet and to my knowledge so far always with this maker mark.

Whats different is that is a blue (faded sure on the obverse) packet, not the more usual encountered like I say tan colour on this very one.

I only have a tan version of this one !

          Hi,

You can find this type of lettering on tan and blue packets!

I only know them for the makers: Brüder Schneider and Paulmann & Crone

          Cheers, Thomas

I don't think, unless I've seen yours, that I've encountered a blue one yet.........I'll let you and Al collect all the variations on EK packets though

Thanks for that grueni, yours is in much better condition, but apart from that, both examples are identical. Fantastic. That clears the matter up. Just out of curiosity, did you acquire this packet with a cross ? How rare is this maker ? I'd like to get a cross to go with the bag, which is a little back to front I know !

Thank you grueni, and all others for your contribution so far.

                  Gareth

I didn't acquire a cross with the packet.
But I have an EK II by 106

I would say the maker 106 is "rare".

Just thought I'd let you know that I was able to pick up a 106mm EKII to go with this packet from Detlev, as soon as it arrives I'll post so me pics here and in the crosses forum.

Just thought I'd keep you posted.

                        Regards,

Well done mate, a set recompleted as it were - correctly !

My 106 although it came in the packet isn't in the best of condition , I'd love to upgrade her, but the 106 is a bugger to attain, so you did well !!!

Grueni, like Thomas and Al you seem to have some nice wares, please feel free to post some examples of your collection on this forum.
