    Deumer EK1 Case

    Dear All,

Please could I have an opinion on this item. I bought it to go with a loose EK1 Deumer I've got, and thought it'd be nice for a display. I've seen a similar example with the text stipulated inside the box from firm CE Junker without the "button". I found it through a reputable dealer in Germany. Sorry for the large size of the photograph.

If anyone has any opinions on this item please could the reply.

    Thanking you all in advance,

    Gareth

It's a latter guise of case, not late war per se; it's a marked which is nice of course, although Deumer marked examples come up all to frequently......it's a tad tatty around the edges so I think I'm best leaving Allan to suggest a value or or someone else can chime in perhaps.

          Nice case.

Value, slightly more than a standard EK1 case and of course demand, someone with a nice Deumer EK1 would pay over the odds for it.

              Dear All,

Thank you very much for your comments. I always appreciate a critique. I actually bought the item as it was a kind of right price, right time, right place affair. My only EK1 is a S & L example, but I bought the case as an a nice, "interim" display piece. I suppose I've don this a little "back to front" I should've held out maybe to find an S & L or unmarked case. I suppose I'll now have to find a Deumer EK1 ! BUt I imagine that the crosses are surely easier to obtain than the cases ?

Anyway thank you all very much for your contribution.

              Many Thanks,

              Gareth

                Hi Gareth,

I think that value really depends on the person. I wouldn't buy it at all, because of the condition, but maybe I am just picky.

I think that the extra value because of the makers mark inside, will cover for the damages outside, ending up with having the same value as a unmarked case.

                just my 2 cents.

                Best, Thomas

                  Dear All,

Sorry to bump an old post but what sort of cross would come in such a case as this, an L11 marked example or a plainly 3 stamped example. I misidentified my cross for a deumer and am now disappointed that I've got an empty case :-( my S & L just doesn't sit properly in there due to the difference in hardware.

Can anyone advise me regarding which marked cross would sit in such a case, and if anyone has one, or knows of a dealer with a deumer for sale.

                  Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

                  Regards,

                  Gareth

                    Case

I have one like it and an L/II came with it and being late war that would be the right one. Jim
